back in the early 90s i was working for a business supply company (now out of business)

i left the office one morning to go on some sales calls out of town, ended up not getting back til almost closing time

when i came in the gal on the sales floor eyed me suspiciously and asked “where did you say you were today?”

after i told her where i was and with whom, she relaxed a little and said, “not long after you left, some pervert called in a bomb threat”

“thats terrible,” i replied, “but what makes you call him a pervert?”

“he said he was calling from a room in the hotel across the highway with a pair of high-power binoculars, and that he was going to set off a bomb in the building unless the female employees came out into the parking lot and took off all their clothes…but only the attractive ones”

the never found out who it was

Didn’t some idiot try to call in a bomb threat to Tiger Stadium a few years ago because he thought he was about to lose a bet on the point spread?

Working on E Concourse at Hartsdield when it was being built. Someone called in a bomb threat. Several hundred people standing around and a bunch of cops and firemen and what not. After about an hour we get the all clear but not a single first responder has entered the building. When someone asked about this they said the building was to big, their bomb sniffing dogs were too valuable and we could call them back if we saw anything suspicious. I asked a fireman if he’d go in the building and he said “you don’t see ANY of us heading into that building”. I went back in….needed the job. Nothing happened but the first responders weren’t at all interested in investigating…..
