To entice people to still fly to Europe and surrounding areas. I can't remember if after 9/11 prices dropping or not.

Prices were cheap post 9/11 not to mention economy took a hit.

You will see price drops if tourism levels go down.

I bought tickets into Munich on December 21st last night for my family.

Coming back Jan. 3rd. I'm not letting a few jackasses ruin my party. I'll kill a frickin Muslim baws.

If less people fly, prices go down.

I've had tickets to Bangkok booked all year.

Some a-hole sets off a bomb at a shrine, I'm not canceling.

I'm also staying on a Muslim island.

Come at me bro

Away of that, but we're prices down and will this cause less people to fly...

I saw a sick deal the other day of 700 round trip to Ireland but it was out of NY instead of New Orleans

I'm going to Europe in June. Not really excited about it.If anything security costs will probably skyrocket, life will assume a dystopian quality, and we will all die in a vast sea of fire.

14k good god... although if you count everyone I bought/spent I was at 10-12k.
I spent 7k and saw Holland, Italy, and Belgium.... looking at Portugal and Spain this year though....

You gotta get in our CC thread on the money board.

Paying that much is just a waste and frankly unnecessary.

If I was alone I would have done hostels but I wasnt... 2 people for about 10-12k total isn't bad

We did 16 days, hotels was a small portion as we stayed in only 3 hotels during our stay. We traveled to different cities via train or car and we'll worth it.

It is when it's unnecessary. Seriously, check out our CC thread on the money board

It hurts my heart seeing you pay that much.

Now that makes me sad...

Originally we paid 4k for round trip and hotel then decided to get a hotel in Amsterdam and stay for a couple days and Venice. Had we not don't that I think the total cost would be closer to 7k

Prices aren't that bad now.

The real gouging is on domestic flights IMO.
