BCBS Healthways ?

Just switched to BCBS and was given info about the Healthways program.
There is only one participating Anytime fitness in my area and it is about the 4th closest Anytime to me. Will access to all Anytime locations open up after the first Month like a regular Anytime membership? Or will i always be locked to the one?

Depends..certain gyms may either join or leave the healthways program. I would check the healthways site often to see if gyms join or leave.

Right, I'm asking if i signup at the participating gym and get my Anytime key, will i get open access to all locations after the first month?

We had a healthways membership. I never tried the 24 hour fitness places, but I'm pretty sure my wife was not able to use the card at other locations. We have an Anytime near our house that she joined through BCBS. The Anytime key would not let her in the gym near her office. I want to say the same thing happened when she tried Snap. It may have been the other way around where she could work out near her office, but not in the Snap by our house.
IIRC, the gyms have to bill BCBS something like $3 every time you go work out. Therefore the franchise locations that aren't on the Healthways plan don't allow you to go there.

You'd only have access to the Anytimes that are participants of health ways. Check this site and see if there are any other gyms in your area.

You have access to all Anytime and Snap locations once you sign up. However if you frequent one location more than the other it will switch your billing to new location. If they are not in the program, you will have to pay.

I was a member when they had snap fitness as one of their selected gyms. Snap dropped the contract and the only ones they kept were anytime. I wasn't a fan of anytime so I dropped the membership. It was a good deal if they have a good participating gym near you

I'm a healthways member and have a home base Anytime gym, but I have access to all the anytimes in the country once my key fob was activated. This was five years ago and I haven't had any problems with other anytimes not participating in healthways. And I've been to at least 10-15 other anytimes in that timeframe. Hope hat makes sense!

The gym I currently use is on there for about the same price as I pay now.
I like the idea of working out at different gyms every now and then to switch things up a bit.
What are some of the best gyms available or gyms that you all use through BCBS healthways besides the big chains (anytime, snap, youfit)? In the NOLA area.

LA Fitness is Slidell takes Healthways, not sure where you are located.

you will have access to other locations of Anytime BUT you cannot move you "home location" to one that isn't participating in Healthways.
I went to the participating one for a month and then just started going to another one every day. They finally locked me out when I would have been switched over because I went there too much. They ended up giving me a good deal that was very close to the Healthways price when I explained it to them.
