Not what it was 15-20 years ago.
Explosive growth and infrastructure hasn't kept up.
Much better schools than EBR (but not a high bar).
Traffic is a nightmare if you work in BR.

I’ve found the architecture to be stultifying. Aesthetically the area leaves much to be desired.
To each their own, but (depending upon your work location) If looking for a non-urban environment in the general area,I would consider St. Francisville and send your children to boarding school in Chattanooga (e.g. McCallie or Baylor) or on the East Coast (St Lawrence, Avon Old Farms,etc.)
Sorry for the non sequitur.

A kid at the Nantahala Outdoor Center told me geaux tigers yesterday. He graduated from Dutchtown and was a recent finance grad from LSU. Seemed like a good dude. He called me sir
