For Sand Leagues, both Mango's (BR and Laguna (DS) offer HS Leagues and formal lessons. For Indoor, VBR is for the elitist, very cliquish, more geared for girls being groomed for schools like St. Josephs, but will be glad to take your money. There is a new gym over near Olympia Field off of Perkins that also runs Indoor Leagues for HS girls. Prolly a better bet than VBR. You should be able to google all these places to research. I can't remember the name of the newer place.

Back up cockblocker. And if her freshman daughter is 17, she ought not be looking for vball camps but a tutor instead.

Yall mofrickers need Jesus wanting pics of a 14 yr old girl.

You aren't gonna be able to get her into a tournament I can't imagine unless you join a club/Junior Olympic team. Indoor leagues would be great if you don't want to spend a lot on a club which will be in the thousands per season.

I live in Ohio so I can't give specifics for Baton Rouge, but Sand Volleyball is a GREAT way for players to get a bunch of contacts and read the ball being played over the net.

This is becoming a huge thing in the men's game at the USA level (trying to get younger players doing this) and get the girls to do it as well.

Even anything in the summer going to the park with her friends and having them mess around for 2 hours playing a 2 v 2 pick up game will reap tons of rewards down the road.

Way too much emphasis is being put on technique and coaching at a young age. It's best to let kids figure things out on their own through repetition and get work on technique once they have the reading and understanding of the game down.

Just my two cents (as a men's varsity volleyball coach).
