So I'm moving and we are disposing of my children's old playset. Big plastic thing with a slide and swings, etc. i have it dismantled, but its still pretty big plastic pieces. Where can I bring this thing to get rid of it?
I'm on southside of BR off Bluebonnet.

The dump is off of Hwy. 61 way up past the airport.

1. Put it out to the street and it will be gone in hours.
2. Leave it at the street and the City/Parish will pick it up. You may not know it but you pay a hefty fee on your water bill every month for this service.

Put it on the street and it will get picked up on your trash day (once a week) just like limbs, appliances, etc. In EBR garbage is 2x a week, trash is 1x per week.
This is what city dwellers pay solid waste on their water bill for.

I only found this out after I checked the DPW website but they will cart off almost anything.
In fact, the website says they will haul off "any homeowner generated construction debris" as long as a permit isn't pulled and a contractor isn't involved. I accepted the challenge and put a massive pile of bricks and cement block to the curb after I personally demolished a twelve foot high wall that was on one end of my tennis court. The contractor didn't want to come get it and I called a DPW supervisor and talked him to where it said that on the website. They came out to the house and asked to see the jackhammer I used and I showed them. They came with three big trucks and hauled it off.
Next to that, your playset will be a breeze.

Well this is encouraging. I will post some photos tomorrow morning for consideration. My only hesitation is I am moving on Friday, and I don't want to just leave it for the new homeowners if they don't pick it up.
The biggest pieces are probably 6' tall x 3' wide x 2" thick

So, here are some pictures. You guys are telling me the city will just pick this up if I put it on the curb? I don't want it to just sit there
Nado, it is functional. If you want to scoop it up email me and I'll give you the address.

Once more. Put it to the curb and they will haul it off. But no way that survives the day without someone snatching it up.

Not only will the city pick it up, someone driving by likely will. At least that's what happens in my neighborhood when anything of value is put to the curb.

I guarantee someone will pick that up and take it off your hands.

Yeah they'll pick that up or someone else will
