Not "not viewed"... just "not".

I'm not law enforcement, but I would imagine that when somebody says they have a CCL and weapon with them to a cop, the cop's first thing to do is to get the person stopped out of the car.
Normally, we'd ask where the gun was. If they were being cooperative, we'd just direct them to make no movement towards that area.

Yeah I worded that poorly but you knew what I meant.

What if you suspected them of having concealed donuts? Could you sniff them out yourself or would you bring in a k9 unit?

quote:thats been my dealings with it for the most part besides one incident. "Hey officer I just wanna let you know I do have my CCL and I am carrying concealed on my right hip at this moment. I also have another handgun between the center console and passenger seat." A few times they have asked me to step out and disarm me. Others they have been like "cool, just don't reach for it and we won't have a problem." I also already have my license and insurance card out by the time they make it to the window.

Recently, like June 14/15, 2016(it was around midnight) I had a gun drawn on me by a city cop while going through a routine license check road block all because my conceal carry weapon was sitting in the slot beside the cup holder in my car.
Are you complaining about this?
Eta: why would anyone downvote my comment? A cop that doesn't know about his ccl pulls his gun? How should he react?

This live streaming feature on Facebook is horrible news for quick trigger-fingered cops

from the video
"When the frick have we threatened police...we threaten each other, but not the police"
I have no opinion on this shooting or the other one, but that's funny.

I completely understand and see what you're saying in your whole post, but you're really surprised a cop, who didn't know you had a CCL, pulled his gun out when he saw a gun sitting by the cup holder?

quote:because it's my legal right to do so. Who gives a frick if I have 2 or 20 within arms reach. But just for you to know, one either stays on my hip or in this little slot by the cup holder(if I'm wearing gym shorts) and the other stays in the car at all times.

It's not illegal. Why do you care
Posted on 7/7/16 at 12:45 am to 7thWardTiger
Yeah, but why on earth do you need two? I don't even carry when I'm off duty.

All the while I had one hand on a steering wheel and one hand reaching to the first officer(state trooper) to get my license back.
