Same thing I was thinking. Like I said, 2, 20, or 200, as long as I'm legally able to carry and all the guns are purchased legally, who gives a frick.

the same reason you need more than one in your official capacity.

If anything the cop you were talking to should have informed the other cop of the CCL and weapon in the car
But I can't say I'm surprised he pulled his gun when he didn't know anything. Failure of communication between the 2 cops if you ask me

There will be plenty of unpaid protestors too. That was brutal

Because you keep 'em focused on the first one then shoot 'em with the other one.
Same logic on why I carry 2 knives.

In case one fails or you need to lend it to someone? Cops carry backup ankle guns all the time.
Our farm truck back at home probably has no less than 3 or 4 rifles in it at any given time.

Uh, I only carry one unless the circumstance absolutely dictates I get a bigger one. That's only happened maybe 4 times.

no they don't
there might be some, especially the newer, gung ho ones, but the majority have their service pistol and thats it

Until you've been dragged out of your car at gunpoint then cuffed on the side of the road until cops get a warrant go search your car only to not find anything and then leave all you shite (seats included) on the side of the road, I don't want to hear anything. All I got was an "oops" from the cops
FWIW that's happened on 3 different ocassions, the 4th time they took me to jail and later released me with another "oops"

you don't carry a spare pistol in your unit?
you, at the least, carry a pistol and a shotgun.

I know very few other field agents that carry backups and maybe 2 with ankle holsters. Only the old people carry those. They're wildly impractical.

Hard to believe. Most departments here in Texas have either a shotgun or AR locked up in every squad car

this is what is messed up. those people in the video are screaming about the cops advancing gun control so they can't defend themselves, yet they voted for Obama at a 90%+ clip when he is the one pushing the gun control.

No. My long gun isn't a shotgun either.
I'm not a local officer though.

IME - This is true. I bartended at a "cop bar" a while back and this was a topic of discussion between random patrons and LEO patrons on more than one occasion.
ETA:
If we are talking shotguns/long guns - That's something different. Was referring to hand guns only above.

few around here carry an ankle gun
I believe because of their computers, they had to put shotgun in trunk.

very well. but still got no probs with anyone keeping a gun in their vehicle and one on the person, if theyre into that sort of things. I'm not, but not going to grudge on someone who feels it necessary. And you shouldn't either, especially given your profession.

This could be a legit criminal case. Need more info but my gut tells me this is an all around fricked up situation.
Feel terrible for the guy that was shot and killed if her story is legit...this cop is getting fried.
