yep. during my trip to jacksonville, the branch manager warned against stopping at any convenience stores because of the number of drug dealers and hookers who hung out there.

This place is a mess. Honestly I cannot believe what I see when I drive around town. Just look at the I-10 corridor through the City. It’s incredible how much junk is along the side of the highway everywhere in the Parish. Who on earth would want to move here?
Pitiful.

FACT

Just yesterday I was driving down 12 and got on 10 eastbound to get off on Bluebonnet to grab a bite to eat and I swear that’s the most trash I’ve seen on any given stretch of interstate or road that I’ve seen, including anywhere in Baton Rouge, and that’s saying something right there. The Bluebonnet exit itself was atrocious.

It’s completely out of control. The leaders in this city simply do not give one single flip what happens to this city, or what people perceive of it when they pass through. I think they’re oblivious to it because it’s become normal to them they see it so often. Or maybe they don’t even notice it. Maybe it reminds them of home. I don’t know, but I do know that it is an enormous stop sign to anyone contemplating moving or relocating. Why would you even consider it a possible area to consider?

Louisiana politics put Louisiana in a downward spiral beginning in the late 80’s.
