Was not an ATV accident, he drowned. The body of former Amedisys CEO Bill Borne was found in a wooded area off Hoo Shoo Too Road Tuesday, bringing to at least 11 the death toll believed related to recent flooding in Louisiana. Borne, 58, died of an accidental drowning and was discovered near Mallard Lakes, said East Baton Rouge Coroner William "Beau" Clark.

Pretty sure he was on a 4-wheeler.

Worked with Bill at Amedysis during its golden age as account executive and RN. At one time it was a Fortune 500 company. Unfortunately as company grew he lost control with board of directors. At least that’s the story I was told.
This man was a god send to many people and employees after Hurricane Katrina. Bill always had a great Boudreaux and Thibodaux joke to tell.

LINK ]In $3.29 billion deal, Baton Rouge-based company Amedisys to merge with UnitedHealth

Amedisys said it has reached a deal to merge with UnitedHealth Group, less than two months after the Baton Rouge-based home health company announced it would be acquired by Option Care Health.

Under the agreement announced Monday, UnitedHealth will pay $101 per share of Amedisys in an all-cash deal. There are 32.58 million outstanding shares of Amedisys. Shares of Amedisys closed Monday at $91, down 21 cents for the day.

Amedisys will continue as a wholly owned subsidiary of UnitedHealth, with an office in Baton Rouge and operations in Nashville, Tennessee, Ashworth said.

UnitedHealth is familiar with Louisiana-based home health companies; it completed a $5.4 billion merger of Lafayette's LHC Group earlier this year. Amedisys said it was too early to discuss combining operations with LHC in the markets they serve.

The company opened a 114,000-square-foot headquarters in a radically remodeled former Schwegmann’s supermarket on South Sherwood Forest Boulevard.

Fun fact, his son-in-law is a veterinarian and is even better dude. Well, he was super nice to me and took care of my labs ear infection so he’s golden in my book.

I thought they closed that big office back when they got bought/moved the first time? And the office in Baton Rouge was now fairly small?

United just swooped in on their squirrel and said I’ll take that playa.

Amedisys said it will maintain “substantial operations” in Baton Rouge

Well the "substantial operations" went out the window with the UnitedHealth takeover because now there won't be an operations as that will take place in Tennessee but Baton Rouge will maintain an "office".
