I like it. Especially for $7. Again, I haven't had one in 15+ years but I used to live off of them when I lived in Tigerland

I fear that you are right.

When I was at LSU Ingas was in a strip mall near Murphy's that they tore down. I used to eat there quite a bit too. Where is it now?

I drove through there for the first time in 10+ years the other day because someone on the food board made me want an AM Mart Cajun turkey poboy (it was as good as I remembered).

Damn it! Now I am craving one.

I know nothing about zoning and the planning commission...is there a reason that the city keeps allowing these things to get built (other than incompetence)? There has to be some reason because anyone with a brain can see that this is going to be a disaster in 10 years (or less).

The zoning and planning commission might as well be nonexistent.

They did approve top golf though, so I’ll take it.

Priceless. That was my cut through from Commons to Fred's.

Tigerland should be full of broke college students, not culcha and illegals

True but college students don't pay their own bills anymore. They need mommy and daddy to get them a new luxury apartment or just buy them a condo.

If the projects meet the zoning requirements there is not much, if anything, they can do to stop them if they are backed by well funded developers.

The same people that claim to love it still don’t understand that the store is named American Market, not AM Mart....but please, do tell me how amazing it is

I had to pay my own rent in college so I lived in TL and off of State St. My dad lived 15 miles from LSU and told me he wasn't paying for me an apartment just so I didn't have to live at home.

I just looked it up and that area is zoned as PUD (Planned Unite Development) and the only real requirement seems to be that there be a "Common Open Space" of 10, 15, or 20 percent of the total area of the property (depends on the overall size of the property). What a joke.
