So this documentary on the 2003 Cubs playoff game where the fan Steve Bartman interfered with the ball is amazing. That poor guy took some life changing grief for it. I recommend it to all you sports fans out there.

Do you think they would invite him back if they break the curse like Boston did with Buckner? He came out to roars of cheers and threw out the first pitch.

I really didn't care for that documentary. It focused too much on Buckner.

Cubs fans are pathetic.

Actually, Illinois sports can collectively suck it.

Other people were reaching for the ball. He had headphones on and the radio was delayed. He never heard the commentators saying Alou was trying to make a play. But he still needs to know the rules of being a fan

Wild pitch came immediately after on ball 4. I'm a Marlins fan from when they were started and it was a sweet series

I knew it was bad but holy shite. Poor guy really had to run and hide. And lets be honest, who would not have gone after that ball?????

He was one of the more popular Halloween costumes after his incident.

Yea the way the guy was treated over that was criminal. I don't think he will ever come out of hiding.

Even if they would invite him back, I doubt he would do it. By all accounts, Bartman has attempted to live a pretty secluded life since then. He's turned down interview after interview for over a decade. I don't think it's because he wouldn't find something like that to be cathartic. I just think he's a really private guy who has no desire to revisit that part of his life.

People that believe he had anything to do with the outcome are full of crap. Let those retards continue to walk around in their lucky shite stained underwear for another 100 years thinking that may bring a pennant to that franchise.

ESPN did an article on him a few years ago, and actually tracked him down. He still lives in Chicago, and still loves the Cubs. Seems like a good dude.

Don't get Illinois confused with Chicago.

Chicago sports fans are fricking idiots (Cubs & Blackhawks fans mainly)

Illinois sports such as Illini & STL Cardinals fans are much different.

Tainted for me too. Dated 2 different from illinois. Peoria and Springfield, as far as I'm concerned the best thing to ever come out Illinois is Richard Pryor.

No offense if offending.

Well Buckner got it maybe even worse. He said he would never go back but once they won all that was forgotten. That would be a great moment in sports if he came back and was forgiven.

Yes they would welcome him back. They would today but nobody knows where he is.

I seriously doubt anyone is still mad at him. It's more just a part of history now.

Bartman didn't do anything wrong, hell, 10 people around him were trying to do the same thing.

If an invite were on the table I hope he wouldn't show. It was pretty rotten the way they treated that man.
