Same here... My first car was a '82 CJ8 Scrambler. I bought my freshman year in HS from my brother which was a light blue. I painted it white, added lift kit, winch bumpers, etc. I even lost my virginity in the bed. Lol

I wish I never sold it, been trying to buy it back for the last 15years. The guy I sold it to leaves it outside with the top off, hasn't moved in years. He DGAF.

thats a bad looking vehicle you posted. did it get sold off the block?

They didn’t show whether it got sold or not. If went to the back with the highest bid at $325k and I didn’t see whether it sold later or not.

The online portion is going on right now. The TV coverage won't begin until 5:00 PM central.

Live auction online at Barret-Jackson website

I like the cars they have today.

Collector Cars - Showing Wednesday Jan 16, 2019

I used to have one of these. It had deep rims that were painted to match the truck and wide tires. Had an Edelbrock intake and B&M shift kit. Fast truck on the street. Not worth a crap off unless it was dry. I also had bucket seats put in it.

they have four Impala convertibles today also. I had a 1970 convertible. No customization except the paint. I had it painted iridescent with blue with white and green flakes. It looked really weird under the yellow parking lot lighting. It looked great most other times.

Unless the owners knew to restore cars and did all the work themselves, I have to imagine that a lot of these cars are selling for less than what the owners have in them.

Customs usually do. Seems like the customs sold on Friday and Saturday for upwards of 200k have to be making some money

you just defined the entire after market car industry. The only exception is very rare numbers matching cars.

id imagine kindig custom cars would fetch that and make money. But the split window Vette that just cross hammered around 50 and I know that person had well more than that in the car. It’s all a crap shoot I guess.
