I think they mentioned it was raced, so lot of the original pieces were probably removed for aftermarket items as you mentioned.

Yeah, not sure. Typically these high end cars are Bloomington Gold certified, this one is not. This one, despite the tank sticker, might have documentation issues, replacement block, etc.

I haven't followed this stuff much since I sold my 70 Olds W30 but the 68 L88's don't bring as much as '67's. Not as rare and the C2's always bring more for similar options.

Responding to the poster about "German Engineering." Funny because that's literally what the Germans are known for.

I want this White Speedster. Beautiful German Car.

Also a White RS coming up. Think it should go for more than the 'pink' one.

Yeah. Known for the entire cooling system having to be replaced at 70K. Been there.

Hard pass.

One of the bidders walking around is wearing a black tee shirt, cargo shorts, crocs and white Oakley’s (even though it is 7 pm here).

He is like a walking “things the OT hates”

I consider Porsche/MB to be tier 1 German manufacturers. BMW quality and engineering has slipped in the last 20 years and I consider them tier 2. You buy a BMW when you can’t afford a Porsche or Mercedes. This is especially true in the performance models

We were able to drop the tank on mine and found half of it. I just taped over it and left it. Couldn't read much of it, but surprised any of it survived after 48 years.

Don’t see the appeal of the road runner.

Hell, one of the BJ big wigs is always in his shades up on the stand. Guy is a clown.

He apparently has some sort of eye disorder.

That's Steve Davis. He is the President of BJ and he probably can wear anything he wants and doesn't care what he looks like.

We are about to head home. I’ll try to post pics when I get home tonight. I’ll take more pics tomorrow (we will go see all the cars in the outdoor tents).

The 67s bring more money because they only made 20 in 1967. They made 80 in 68 and 116 in 69.

68s typically bring a lot more money than $265k so this car has questions.

Funny part is they have more 67 L88's registered with NCRS than Chevrolet produced.
