It's absolutely incredible what those old mopars sell for.

That red 2005 Ford GT is just gorgeous.

I'll take the 11 year old Porsche!
Posted on 1/21/17 at 8:18 pm to ELLSSUU
So, I should probably know this, but an 11 year old porsche just sold for $575K. Were those vehicles mass produced? Are these "supercars" mass produced? How many are made in any given year?

Burt the corpse up there?
I had 227k on this fantasy bid

Coming up in a few. Weekend at Bernie's Pt2

1270 produced. Original price was about $450,000 but dealers were getting more than that new. The car is wild. There is at least one in Louisiana.
It was replaced by the 918 which is a Hybrid. 0-60 in 2.5 seconds and lapped the Nurbergring in a record sub 7 minute time.

The Carrere GT was the Ferrari Enzo competitor at the time. Motor Trend did a 3 way comparison with it, the Enzo and the Ford GT. Later on the Carrera GT got the nickname "widowmaker" given the number of crashes it's owners got into.

I use to love Smokey and the Bandit. Come to think of I'd love Burts movies.

Burts a legend. I miss those movies including the bold cannonball runs.
Posted on 1/21/17 at 8:37 pm to Traveler
Just getting home to see the trans am go for $250k. What did I miss today?
I recorded the broadcast and will probably watch tomorrow morning.

Same here. Think I'll watch Cannonball Run tonight that you have mentioned it and CR2 tomorrow.

I'm putting 163K on the Porsche 911S.
Looking at the Specs it's well done. Al Reed did the wheels. I talked to him about doing mine and he said he had a 12 month wait list for committed customers.

Just tuned in when Burt's Trans Am was on the block. 250K to charity.

Your Superbird went for 275,
The L88 & Hemi Cuda didn't meet reserve. Both awesome cars.
Resto's coming in above expected. Bidders know what they want and paying for it.
Big surprise was Firebird 1 & 2 coming in way under. Somebody did well.
C1&2 Vette Resto's surprising me with hammer prices.
