Nah, it had a chromed front bumper and didn't have a top on as it passed the block, was late in the evening. Was also black on the inside.

We are on the same page with that. The mods I have done with mine are very subtle. The interior is just like it was when it was new. Only purist would recognize the changes on the outside, yet they are enough to make the judges at a NCRS show at turn and walk away, so I don't bother with those.
Like you said, butchering a 62 with what you listed just seems wrong to me, but it's their car...
eta: Chevy/Corvette Expo next month in Galveston. Bring some $$ and drive home in one

I like completely original restored cars or ever so slightly restomodded. Like adding disc brakes or small things you can't really see or that don't take away from the classic look of the car, but make it better/easier to drive.
ETA, nice ETA without actually adding.

I had 2 1969 Mach 1s back in the day. Good times. I love the late 60's muscle cars.

Nice. Love those also. Yea the late 60s cars were great. Speaking of your car, this one is coming up in 3 cars

Absolutely Captain. Tires, brakes, suspension, steering parts weren't the greatest back then and when slightly worn, made a car a handful to control. Like you said, adding improvements in these areas made it better, easier and safer to drive.

I want the Yenko, I can't afford it but dammit I want it.

Guess I will have my people pick up a Vette or 3 for me. I need a couple of cheap cars for when the expensive ones are getting detailed.

True. This is why I totaled a Mach 1 and f'ed up another pretty bad. I am sure the alcohol figured in too, but damn those cars would jump all over the place at high speeds.

I had a 1965 mustang that got taken away on my 18th bday because my mom caught me drinking and driving
Saddest day ever. I was the coolest chick in school in that car. Got a stupid eclipse after that

Classic car. Kids do stupid things. I know I did my share.
Back to the OP, I would love to make the B-J auction one day and look at the old Mustangs.

I would love to take a road trip to this one year with my pops. We both want to get a late 60's Nova and restore it

Holy shite. That lot of serial 1 Corvettes is crazy.
That Pierce Arrow Roadster
I've always wanted to have a 60's muscle car, 50's "work" truck, and a 20-30's roadster. Those old school roadsters are just sexy as hell.

I was a dumb kid that wanted stupid customizations so we didn't restore it to match the numbers, but I did this with my dad and a 69 Chevelle. It was an awesome experience.
His first car was a yellow 68 Olds 442. One day I hope to find one fairly cheap and restore it with him.

too bad our local arizona poster who supplies us with pics has work or some shite like that. pfft
Trust me, I wish I was off this weekend. Would much rather walk around looking at all the pretty cars than working all weekend. It was fun taking all the pictures last year as well for you guys. Next year I'll try to make sure I'm off that weekend.
