Didnt read whole thread but do feel sorry for young guys that had to grow up in the last 20 years looking for a decent girl. Most of the girls these days are overweight and have a higher sense of self because of social media

quote:

Back in the early 80's/ 90's i'd say 90% of the girls were not overweight and no social media to compare you to thousands of other dudes. If you had a decent game talking to a girl you had a good shot

That blade cuts both ways, though. There were many decent and attractive girls growing up in the last 20 years but too many young dudes who no longer longer had "a decent game talking to a girl" because they are too busy playing video or now making AI deepfake nudes of the girls. My daughter was very smart and attractive but none of the boys had the balls to politely approach her and actually ask her out.

*edited to add that I am not your downvoter, as I rarely dv anyone.

Feminism caused this. Hitting on a woman who doesn't want you to hit on them is sexual harassment.

You hit the nail on the head.... I have a 16 y/o son, who's a good looking kid, he doesn't have the balls to talk to girls. He's a shy kid for some reason. Good looking kid in great shape, scared to talk to girls, I'm constantly telling him he has no game...

I always tell him, If I had your looks at 16, I would've been slinging it back in the day.

that’s pretty much what my wife looked like when we met, people were constantly thinking it was her, she even gave out a couple of autographs

Ever hear the story about Susan Dey's unrequited crush on David Cassidy?

He just couldn't get into her and she couldn't deal with it.

Well, she is likely doing something social with friends, writing a medical publication or reading a book (typically reads as many as five books at any one time), but too young for you. Brilliant, funny, single, and a doctor at one of the most well-respected medical centers in the world. Yes, pics do exist. Microsoft actually used some of her photos years ago in developing their facial recognition AI program.

Some young fellow was whining on here a few weeks ago about his failures on social media and I asked for his socials to forward to her and he ignored it. Missed his opportunity.

If you are still flying, can you hook me up with cheap airfares?

Damn. I had the same crush on her and she could not get into me but I was 8 when she was 18.

Nice... She had a great sense of humor. Were people calling you, "Mr. Smith"?

Do you remember if the wife also added a whimsical personal note along with it?

Back in the day I once worked at an amusement park where we had Jaclyn Smith 8x10s glossies on hand as prizes. I'd "autograph" the photo, then embellish them with silly personal notes like, "Thanks for our special time together -- did you ever find my earring?"

So you sensed the ten year difference back then meant it was a no-go? Timing is cruel.

I had Marie Osmond on the jet back in the 80s and I got her to write a note like that for me, she was a great sport about it, now I’m going to have to look for that note when I get home, if I find it I’ll post it
