Also, if you have deductibles you aren't "fully covered" for your losses. Years ago you could pay a higher premium for alfull coverage comp or full coverage collision and that's where the full coverage term comes from.

Now people take it to mean they have liability comp and collision.

ETA I'm not hating on you, just giving a little background.

I deal with body shops, all day, every day. Trust me on this; If you wreck your vehicle, you want State Farm. I see estimates with more used/recycled/reman/aftermarket/refurb stuff from companies like Geico and Progressive on new vehicles.

Be glad the other driver wasn't covered by State Farm as well. Old man ran a stop sign and t-boned me, officer did not issue either one of us a ticket because he knew the guy who was claiming if I wasn't speeding it would have been fine (I wasn't speeding). State Farm ruled us equally at fault. Long story short civil suits etc, State Farm defending themselves cost me money and I left them for Geico who I have had no issue with.

There's a lot of variables involved. Your age, parish you reside in and how far you drive the vehicle to work one way. Some people have great rates with a particular company and you may call them and get really crappy rates due to those variables along with their experience with your vehicle type.

Was with State Farm, switched to Geico this year. Better coverage, half the price.

Totally depends where your address is though.

To hell with State Farm. Been with them for years and through many rate hikes. I'm done and about to go to with Esurance who came in about 30% lower.
