Are the more expensive blades worth the price or are they all about the same?

Unless you have to deal with snow, no, they aren't worth it. They last no longer than cheap Anco blades. Rain-x the glass + Anco blades = good enough

When it rains in BR, traffic slows to <10mph. You don't need high end wipers at 10mph.

I agree. I was on the interstate for about 10hrs this weekend. Nearly all of it in the rain. I barely needed my wipers thanks to the Rain-X.
