Threw a bachelor's party in Austin last October.

Top Golf

Use airbnb or home away to grab a place near 6 (we were on 4th and close enough to walk to 6)

Rent a party barge and go out to lake Travis

Yellow Rose or Palazzios (sp?)

Got hammered and got free food and played free video games at kung fu

Go on a brewery tour

Hit the food trucks after the bars

Look for women on west 6th street

Avoid bars owned by TV's "The Bachelor" Brad Womack:

The Dizzy Rooster
The Dogwood
Molotov Lounge and
The Chuggin' Monkey

My friend lives on Lake Travis and said the lake is way down.

She said her boat dock is on land right now.

Brad's a decent enough guy. I like Chad better.

Molotov's no longer open anyway.

It was at 30% capacity in May. It's crazy to see the boat ramps not reach the water

Brad is a douchebag as seen on TV.

Know nothing of his brother(s).

Meh.

Don't believe everything you see on TV...just like you shouldn't believe everything you read on the internet.

Brad is perfectly nice...polite and generous. Not warm and fuzzy but not a monster, and people should absolutely not avoid his bars based on his reality TV persona.

Dogwood actually employs some really fun, friendly, badass bartenders...one of whom is a BR native and LSU alum/enthusiast.

I've been looking at this and its really expensive, almost better to get a hotel room.
pros- you with all you buddies
cons- if people don't get along in the group its going to be miserable

Yep, go to Lake Austin, LBJ, or Marble Falls; definitely worth it in the right season.

When was the last time "reality" TV wasn't scripted?

Look, I don't actually care if you hate Brad, but telling strangers not to patronize his bars because you don't like his television persona (did you ever watch Friday Night Lights? Because Taylor Kitsch is a dick in real life) is ridiculous.

Possible dancing?

For that go to The Blind Pig, The Library, or The Aquarium. The Blind Pig has a roof top area that is a lot of fun and usually has a DJ up there with a dance floor. A bunch of us met up and did New Years Eve in Austin 3 years ago. We did The Flying Pig the night before, which included almost all of my buddies getting white boy wasted and dancing like re-re's. We did an all inclusive thing at the Kung Fu Saloon that featured the Dan Band for New Years, band from Wedding Crashers and The Hangover. Best NYE to date for me. Both are spots I would recommend. But again, be warned about the young college crowd on East 6th. Not that its a bad thing, but be warned.
