I don't recall that thread - however after inflation and all the other expenses associated with owning my home - I wouldn't make a nickel in profit if I sold today. That's with my home doubling in value. If it tripled I might make a little money. Houses are fricking expensive.
Anyone bitching about the prices of just purchasing a house are in for a rude awakening when they start getting the bills to actually keep the thing in decent condition.
