Being about 5 decades removed from Jim Crowe, black wealth is still in its infancy despite have one of the greatest purchasing powers in the world. If black purchasing power is ranked at 15th if it was a nation. Denial of home ownership and business created a gap in generational wealth among blacks. We are just now starting to see an upward trend in generational black wealth.
There is a very large black middle class in America that by and large gets overlooked and when not it is misunderstood. I believe it needs to be more vocal on the plight and circumstances of the lower class blacks.
As does the middle class white the same for lower class white.

That's more of a misconception than anything. Black guys don't chubby chase more than our white counterparts
I banged more of my share of big girls in my day, but it was always right before closing time. Desperate times called for desperate measures. But I didn't date them, unlike black guys do.

I've never understood why white people think the fact that some African tribes selling their captives into slavers' hands negates or even mitigates the practice of white-held slavery.
Slavery happened, it was a fact of life in West Africa - if you could get under the gun of being pressed by selling others and work the system, wouldn't you?
Hypocrites.

I went back and found a question I wanted to answer.
At first early on in my career yes, but when I realized the baws loved fried chicken as much as I do and I wasn't keeping it real with myself I started eating whatever I wanted. If they had neckbones on the menu I am ordering neckbones. I was ashamed that I was so self conscious about that.

Real question. When you are primarily around white people, like maybe at a business lunch, or anywhere else dining where you are maybe one of few blacks present, do you ever find yourself craving a stereotypical food on the menu, but don't order it simply because you'll be embarrassed if you do?

Why do some black people "act white" around white folks and "act black" around black folks?

Hey you said you live in Kenner. What do you think of Zahn as mayor, current economic state of Kenner and the current issues with the mall?

Putting a question mark at the end of a sentence doesn't automatically make it a question?

I've noticed a lot of the AfricanAmericans here in St.Louis are buying Dodge Chargers and Challengers. Why the sudden interest in Chrysler/Dodge vehicles.
This is another good question.
I interned at Chrysler as previously stated. Ralph Giles at one time was the lead designer of Chrysler vehicles Jeep Dodge Ram. Chrysler group was the first auto manufacture to put 20 inch wheels on their vehicles. This was Ralph Giles's brain child. He being a young black man and understanding urban car culture he knew he would create a following. I talked with Ralph plenty of times. He is a very smart individual and wealthy. I wanted to be him, but I decided moving to Michigan wasn't the right move. Any ways long story short the design cues chrysler vehicles follow were targeted to an urban market. When I was at chrysler he was the CEO of th SRT division.
