Filipinos are actually an entire different race from the Chinese. I think Thai and Filipino are pretty much the same.
What’s interesting about Filipinos is I always thought they were like Mexicans, half Spanish and half Indian. But it turns out most Filipinos are completely if not almost completely indian with some people having small amounts of Spanish or Chinese here and there. (And then some people are half Spanish half Indian or whatever)
Don’t know why I always thought that the average Filipino was part Spanish. But apparently the Spanish changed the names of the Filipinos because the Filipinos didn’t have permanent names for themselves, they just used descriptive words to describe people lol
