No. The reason is the marked decrease in productivity due to WFH being given to everybody and not just the disciplined high performers. For everyone who gets more work done at home, there are 5 that get less done and are proving that they only actually work 20 hours a week so half of their jobs could be eliminated.

The human element is decision making, which is based on parameters, which can be learned by AI.

The amount of posters here rooting for mass layoffs is amusing.

They are jealous because they would never get hired at Chase, Amazon, Google, etc.

AI and machine learning sucks for high level accounting and finance right now. We use it. Will AI takeover those jobs? Maybe, but not anytime in the near future, and if it does, it’s eliminating a shite ton of other jobs before them. There is so much nuance and fact specific data and/or contentions in the upper levels that AI isnt ready for.

Accounts payable and shite like that, sure

Well since he said he wasn't an authorized person on the loan, yeah it is. I've been an unauthorized person on bills, while married, and guess what, even with a cell phone problem, I was told tough luck, much less a major loan with a bank.
Even at my work, I can't even acknowledge if a person is there, if thier name isn't listed with the customer.
That's a huge breach of privacy and safety.

but I am not turning on my camera when I'm WFH just to chat about something for 5 minutes.

My management has a policy that if we have conference calls we need to make every effort to be on the screen. I’m in sales so I’m either on the road or WFH. We only have calls once every two weeks so it’s not a huge ask.
But I suspect they want to make sure we’re at least out of our pajamas.

No that’s being an idiot When you do 3/2, you stagger the days the employees come in so you need far less office space

Well I don’t work in the office, but the folks that do at my company are home Monday and Friday and in the office Tuesday through Thursday. I guess if that makes me an idiot, oh well.

I was on the loan. I was a Co-borrower with my wife. Of course I’m an authorized person to speak to about my own damn loan.
