I imagine that some guy could have tapped her shoulder to get her attention out of curiousity or may be to pass some time with conversation while waiting. Maybe slightly obnoxious at absolute worst if it was someone who obviously didn't want to be bothered but in reality not really a big deal at all.

This article are absolutely ridiculous. Simply being polite gets one much farther in this world than being a snotty, scared, overly-sensitive, bitter, entitled, self important person. Instead she attempted to make it about being a woman, or being different. What it's really about is being a social human being, and this lady being too damned afraid to interact with other people.
Imagine how this article would have gone had she just said what the hell the shirt said, gave a polite smile, and went back to her miserable life.
