I always hoped he would un-retire again and come back to radio in some form. He made late night drives interesting for sure.
My favorite shows were always the New Years Eve shows and predictions.

I used to listen to his (and his callers) weird shite when I worked nights. Entertaining, to say the least.

Have only heard about him here on the OT.

I kinda list track of the whole Art Bell thing. I thought he had retired and Noorway was it.

Considering his celebrity status and success, most people are surprised to learn Art Bell lived in a doublewide manufactured home a few hundred yards down the road from the famous "Bunny Ranch" brothel
This was the radio station studio he owned, and broadcast "Coast to Coast" from.

It is a sad statement on my life that as soon as I saw he had died I came here to see if Pioneer had started a thread about it.
Art had so many memorable guests and callers. The area 51 were my favorite.

Somewhere in time is on now. They air every Saturday night.
I expect coast will dedicate a few shows to him this coming week however it took almost 16 hours before coast acknowledged his death on social media.
