Arrest made in 2017 Delphi murder case

At a news conference on Monday, the authorities announced that Richard Allen, 50, of Delphi, had been arrested last week and charged with two counts of murder. He has entered a not guilty plea and is being held without bond, the Carroll County prosecutor, Nicholas McLeland, said.

He was put on the radar when the cops had a search warrant for Kegan Kline, I believe. They knew who the killer was months ago, but were waiting for more evidence.

So it took them 5 years to arrest a guy who looks exactly like the person they were looking for and he’s from the same small town? Not a good look.

Just because he looks like the grainy video doesn't mean they can arrest him. They had no evidence. We have no idea if they interviewed and/or surveilled him. Maybe they did and nothing came out of it.
Really curious to hear about the evidence. They were searching the river a couple weeks ago.

Agree with that assessment and it's why I believe at some point recently his alibi was blown up.

Next up, the DA in Boulder needs to submit Jon Benet Ramsey's DNA to a genealogy database to track down her killer. I read somewhere that they are fighting the family on that. Not sure why.

And things really started moving again when they arrested that Kline guy for child porn. Wouldn’t be surprised if something came from that.
