Mine was a smartass - kept sneaking big f*cking rocks into my rucksack.

Good dude.

When were you there? They had just completed the new barracks for us so we had it pretty good (2013).

I did have some slut blue falcon me at camp bullis and I spent 4 weeks out there instead of 2.

That blows.

What time of the year was it?

Summer time for us was pretty brutal, but we took A LOT of breaks as they were scared to death of someone becoming a heat cas.

Never has assigned Battles, basic at FLW and AIT at fort Sam. My BT bb was a guy that gave my breakfast to..

We were all close at AIT so a group of us normally hung out. Still talk to alot of them.

Yes and he was an idiot. I did a million push-ups for his antics.

I can't imagine the stories an old petty officer would have from all the places he has been to. I just did one westpac and that was a blast. Sucks being on the boat though. I could have never been in the Navy, ship life sucks arse.

Yep. Mine was a kid from Montana. Awkward guy who grew up on a ranch in the middle of nowhere. I don't remember his name because we went by numbers. I was 146 and he was 145.

One of my main memories of him was from the FTX. We were at Benning and one night we had one of those huge violent Southeast thunderstorms. We were pulling 50/50 security and I was in my foxhole with water up to my waist. I hear the drill sergeant in the tent area yelling "if I see one more damn white flashlight I'm ripping down your tent and you can sleep in the rain!". A couple minutes before shift change I hear him yelling again and a bunch of commotion. I get off shift and head for my tent and, sure enough, it was my battle buddy that got our tent ripped down. So I spent the rest of the night laying on the open ground while rain dumped on me.

Other than that, he wasn't that bad. Some guys had really shitty BB's and it made their time so much harder.
