Not butt buddy Klark Kent. That's a totally different thing.

Godspeed wherever you are James Wood from New Mexico.

I'm not sure if the other branches do this or not.

I remember leaving my battle buddy at the bar while I went to get some pussy. I woke the next day to find he had choked out the taxi driver and been arrested. It was hilarious.

Thank God. I actually thought this was a "new thing". Army strong pushes the limits every so often so I had to ask.

They're libo buddies in the Marines. We rarely had the same person as every time we'd go to a port people usually wanted to do different things. You found a guy that wanted to do the same things as you.

This is a different thing. It's a partner that you count on to watch your 6 in training and war. It's not finding someone who likes to visit the same whorehouse in The Philippines.

Not my libo buddy but a friend of mines bailed on him in Thailand. We found him in the middle of the street using an umbrella as a sword convinced he was a samurai. Was doing the poses, making weird noises and threatened anyone that came around him. Unfortunately for him the Thai police didn't play around with that kind of stuff. Those tiny policeman beat the crap out of him with these huge sticks they carried around. Doesn't remember it and says his drink was spiked. But we sure do and still rag on him to this day.

In BT and AIT? Sure

BT battle buddy broke his hip after a month of running for what I guess was the first time in his life. Took advantage of having an extra wall locker next to mine while he was being processed out.

AIT battle buddy was always on profile cuz "his knee hurt." He got recycled for failing the EMT Cert Exam and I had the room to myself for the last 2 months.

I owe them

Lucky bastard.

Mine was actually solid. We rolled through together the entire time. I only went to sick call once because I was sick of that shite and wanted a day off.

A designated walker? I heard this nonsense for the fist time when I was training in FLW. Then I discovered you can progress in rank while literally never having to PT. At least not what I would consider PT.

My assigned BBs were arse, but what I prob consider my true BB during BT & AIT was awesome. And similarly, we were together almost the whole time.

It helps when you have the same MOS and yalls last names are close alphabetically.

I'm sure it varies by your MOS and unit.

I was attached to an infantry squadron (battalion) my whole career so yeah, good luck with advancing to the higher ranks with a perm profile unless you've been in a really long time.
