The types of people in there would either do nothing because they didn't care, or stab you. I've been there, and I probably would've stabbed him if I wasn't too drunk to notice. There are much easier targets than a "shithole bar late at night"

You wouldn't have to stab him. As soon as he checked your knuckles, he would have reversed course and headed for the door.

The guys doing restaurants uptown had the right idea. Low lighting; small number of cameras; lots of conflicting witnesses; nobody expects it at all; everyone is sober and with family. Run up in a bar at 4 in the morning, and you have a 50/50 chance of getting fricked up
