Arkansas people: how is Fayetteville now?

Thinking about doing a cross country roadtrip from Denver to Oxford, and that seems like the logical stopping point. Lived there for 3 months previously and looking to see the current standards for doing a hotel for the night. Great town that I love and just want to know if things are opening back up to any capacity.

If you haven’t been in a while, it’s shinier than it used to be. Not many shitty parts of town left. And it’s developed all the way to the Missouri border.

My SIL lives there. Stay by the new toP golf, which I believe is actually in Rogers. Nice area, restaurants, etc. Northwest Arkansas is beautiful, and definitely nicer than Little Rock.
ETA: I don’t think things really slowed down there as much as in other areas of the country. AR had one of the lowest case rates (per capita) in the country, and overall. And the majority were in Little Rock, not NWA.

Lived there in 2014 and loved it. I’m appreciative of people who live in Fayetteville. The town isn’t as good as Oxford, but on its own accord, it’s one of the best in the country. Thank you to those in the know for informing me. Fayetteville is a wonderful place.
