I thought about going to check out the Hachi statue in Japan not long ago when i had a layover in Tokyo.. but according to Google Maps it’s a good hour or so from NRT, plus apparently like so many things in 2025, it has become just another freaking instagram location where people stand in line for an hour to get a selfie with the Hachi statue.. .. very disappointed to learn that, still one of the best movies ever made though .

My old man’s shih tzu was a complete and total prick to him while he went through chemo. Wouldn’t go near him.
