We're heading north to hunt Friday- the end of the month. Remote learning for my kid gives him one heck of a break. Hunt-school-hunt, repeat the next day.

Let me guess. You collect garbage for a living. You drive a lifted F150 with a Confederate flag on the back bumper and a gun in the back window. Despite not graduating from high school, you know more about Covid than the guy who’s world renowned in infectious diseases. You worship the Orange Buffoon and can’t think for yourself. Murcia right?

Reminds me, instead of an intelligent comeback, you act like a tough guy to make up for your own lack of intelligence, and call everyone with half a brain a pussy because you can’t think of anything better to say. Am I right?

But since you asked... multiple degrees, six figure income, higher than average IQ, bigger than average dick and I am a tough guy.

And I drive a raised Ford F-150 with a confederate flag on the bumper.

I have had my biggest gathering of the year at my house for several years now with as many as 25-30 people show up for Thanksgiving Day.

Not this year though. I've put feelers out to many of the folks that would normally attend and most of them have opted out to have something small at their house this year.

So, it will just be 4 of us this year and a hell of a lot less cooking for me to pull it off. It is normally a 3 day cooking fest for me to get everything ready and this year I can have it done in just one day, easily.

I’ll be myself.

No big deal.

It’s been that way for most Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays for the last twenty five years or so.

I'm expecting some wonky death counts rolling into the new year. Its going to be across all demographics but I think the old folks are going to be decimated based on yall are "through with COVID" and people being worn out by the quarantine lifestyle. Glad I don't work in Healthcare... gonna be some sad shite to witness in person. Definitely going to be life changing for a lot of folks. But feel free to Merica away.. enjoy the turkey. I'm having Hot Pot with the girl and a few friends this Thanksgiving. Hopefully my parents - 73 - stay safe. Good luck.

We are but we are planning on visiting outdoors, weather permitting. I don't think the risk is great BUT my parents are in their 80's and I would like to have a shot at a normal thanksgiving next year. At their age any added risk is a lot of risk.

We had a birthday party for the wife yesterday and did it around the pool. Some of the kids swam a little...gotta love global warming LOL. We kept our distance for the most part and as far as I know no one went in the house and only used the pool house toilet and sink. I think it is a measured thing....I don't think Id want to be hemmed up in a small, over heated house for several hours with a bunch of people, some older with underlying conditions, but I have never liked doing that anyway...actually looking forward to spending the day in the yard with them....hell, the pilgrims and the Indians did it outdoors in every picture I ever saw...if it is good enough for them its good enough for us...
