So who told you that you have a "food addiction?"
Posted on 8/10/17 at 11:56 pm to rebeloke
i self diagnosed myself on WebMD

Clutterers Anonymous is a real fricking thing, so yea I think some people are jumping to call anything an addiction.

See that is the problem right there. You spend too much time sitting around on your lazy arse trying to make excuses and not enough time burning calories. They say sex burns a lot of calories. You should try a sex addiction in order to burn the calories from your food addiction problem.

ETA: and if you keep attacking me, we can gladly meet at sonic that way i can burn some calories whipping you up and then fuel my food addiction with some half off shakes and tots.

Take Michael Phelps for example. The dude downs 10k plus calories per day during training. So food addiction is not accurate. It is really lazy arse syndrome.
He might be somewhat of an outlier

Actually a pretty good question.
My answer is weed
My answer is weed

Also was having a convo with a coworker the other day and he told me that a lot of people that "graduate" AA end up becoming sex addicts
Basically, people that are wired for that dopamine loop have to get that rush from something else, the trick is getting addicted to the right thing be it success/money, fitness, caffeine, nicotine, whatever the frick works really.

I'm calling BS on your whole argument.
First off you are deceiving yourself. You don't burn nearly enough calories to offset your fat arse eating habits.
Second you can't even offer a fight without food involved, "meet you at the sonic." You probably meet a lot of people at the sonic.
Third your name says it all, "Lazy But Talented"
I'm am not attacking you. I'm giving you honest feedback. Now get your fat arse off the couch and go burn some real calories and quit fooling yourself into think your girly workouts are cutting it. Join a crossfit gym and see what a real workout feels like.

You are missing the "despite adverse consequences" in your equation.

Addiction is a brain disorder characterized by compulsive engagement in rewarding stimuli, despite adverse consequences.

Okay smart guy. What are the adverse consequences of getting laid? I'll hang up and listen you answer.

How do you know that? Never posted that I was out of shape. Just simply stating people can be addicted to food. And I have battled it.

I wish, but I don't like that stuff.

I know. I was bored and wanted to see how it'd go.

I think the problem with addiction is when it starts to consume your thoughts and actions on a daily basis, if not throughout the day.
People are addicted to food and mostly carbs (sugars, bread, pasta, ice cream
). Most don't think they have a problem, but should you be stuffing your gut with that much sugar at one sitting? Also quitting sugar can produce reel withdrawal effects like headache, aches, and tiredness. There is even a connection of sugar and opiates.
What is even more sickening is that most parents get their own kids hooked, BIG TIME, onto sugar at a very early age. Pepsi has 69 grams of sugar, Dr Pepper has 64 grams of sugar, both are in 20 oz sizes. A quarter cup of sugar is 55 grams. Then if you look at drinks for toddlers, they have even more sugar (in relationship to their size, weight) in them compared to the adult sized version. Pedisure for kids, has 18g of sugar per 8oz serving and they are for kids 2 and older. Fruit juices have even more sugar, and how many kids just drink water?

if your goal is to change the way you feel by overconsumption of anything, it's an addiction.
