I have rolled out epic at 3 facilities. Do not work for epic but as agent for hospitals. Did training for all nursing and ancillary staff. I refused to train MDs....hopefully your interview went well!

I use epic in the ER, we have templates in note writer pre-made for all the chief complaints. I prefer using sentences like a classic H&P rather than clicking boxes so it works for me. It's pretty easy if you have a lot of smart phrases.

I thought this same thing until I worked with other EMRs. I don't know how they can justifiably charge for some of the junk they put out there.

Nah. In reading a medscape articles about what's used and how it's rated, the system we employ seems to be in the bottom 5 in prevalence and satisfaction in basically every category. In terms of workflow, I'd happily leave my program for one with a better system. I could be at least 1.5x productive. But, unfortunately, I knew that going in and decided there was more value to the program than its dreadful attempt at technology.
