Again, this system helps our democracy have more involvement from the population, not less.

This concept shouldn't be this hard to grasp

And hell, even if you don't eliminate their presences, you eliminate the need.

You have the unicorn researchers who won't approach issues with those messy biases that voters have!

Hell, letting the voters vote is just gonna frick that up!!!

And what would campaigns look like anyway?

"I guarantee you voters that I will vote how the unicorn research team tells me I should. My idiot opponent occasionally voted counter to what the unicorn research team concluded was best!!!...……..by the way, if you don't like what the unicorn research team concludes...……...you shouldn't be allowed to donate money or hire people who believe in your cause to oppose the unicorn research team!"

When a lobbyist representing the insurance industry works in DC......he is not representing the consumer (us) he is representing the insurance companies.

There are plenty of lobbyist that represent consumer groups looking out for your interest. In almost every aspect of a person's life there is a lobbyist working both for and against their interest.

Horrible

They are a huge reason for half the shite that goes bad in DC. Instead of politicians going to DC to work for their people, they work for the lobbyist, who line their pockets.

Ever wonder how a Hundred Thousand'er goes to DC, leaves 8 years later and is a Millionaire?

Big Oil, Big Pharma, and Big Tobacco have their hands in nearly everyones pockets in DC.
