this is all I'm saying...to acknowledge the motivation.....yet nearly everyone is fighting it like they are truly honorable or something.
just be honest...and I have ZERO problems

You stand by the assertion that (a) farmers' markets, (b) knowing and enjoying good wine, (c) knowing and enjoying good food, and (d) yoga, are girly things?
I find yoga to be close to the girly line but then again I'm old school. If a dude wants to do yoga, that's none of my business that he does or even why he does it.
The rest of his list is pure horse shite.

I'm betting dudes from a few hundred years ago would consider you girly because you don't wear a lace collared blouse with a floral print, pantaloons, high heel shoes, and a powdered wig.... not to mention make-up.

Brilliantly put.
Was copying to say the same thing.

In the 60's, my mom dressed me fashionably in the times.
In the 70's I wore bell bottoms and satin shirts with big collars or concert t-shirts because that's what was in fashion.
In the 80's I donned polos and duck head khakis, or rolled up girbauds or 501's and rugby shirts because that's what was in fashion.
In the 90's my jeans were a bit baggier and I wore shirts that were more in keeping with what was fashionable as well.
Enter the modern era, and I wear clothes that are more tailored and fashionable to the era in which we live.
If I had lived in the 40's I'm sure I would have worn fashionable clothes that were in keeping with the era. Some goes for the 50's. However, I live NOW, not then.
Why would someone wearing fashionable clothes in keeping with the era be offensive to anyone?

You missed the point. Yes, that was the norm for the day. And if you did not dress in that manner, you were not considered a true gentleman. And just as that was the norm for that time, the way guys dress nowadays is the norm for today.
Is it different than from years ago? Sure. It's different from how I dress but then again I'm not a 20sometinng guy, I'm in my 40's. Point is that treads and fashions change from generation to generation. And I'm sure what young guys nowadays look silly to you (they do to me as well). But you've got to understand this is their fashion, their trend, just as we had our fashion and our trends that looked silly to older guys back when we were in our 20's.
And these guys that you're saying look "girly" will in time look at the next generation and ask themselves the same question older guys have been asking for generations, "What the frick are these little pussies wearing"? It's all part of the circle of life.

You're right. Most will, but it goes back to men getting married having a kid, quitting, and waiting to die. Not everyone does that.

I can see what you're saying. But there does come a time in a man's life where he stops trying to keep up with the latest fashion not due to "quitting and wanting to die" but instead because he's reached an age where he'd look absurd.
Take the flat bill hat for example. These are extremely popular with everything from tee-ball aged kids through guys in their 20. People see males of this age group wearing flat bill hats and they don't give it a second thought. It just looks natural. But if you see a guy me age (43, almost 44) wearing one you'd think I looked silly, like I was trying to look young.
And that last word is the key... "young". There are some fashions that are connected with being young. As you age, you just kind of naturally move away from those and settle into your own style that fits you and your age.
BTW... what is your age?

True, there is a limit. For instance, I'm certainly not going to sport an affliction shirt at my age, or skinny jeans, but wearing more tailored slacks and jeans or shirts and pullovers is what I'm getting at in lieu of say outdated old man clothes, or clothes from a different era.

exactly, There are fashions that transcend generations if you will. A nice tailored suit is a good example. A nice pair of khaki pants and golf shirt are another example. Then there's the classic pair of jeans and tee-shirt look for a more casual example of a fashion that spans generations. You'll see both young guys all the way up to 80 yr old men wearing things like these. Of course the types of jeans and tee shirts will vary with age (like your example of Affliction shirts).

I go to Pilates class on the recommendation of my doctor for my bad back. Does that make me a slime ball? I'm not there to be in striking distance to chicks but that is an added benefit. I don't mind the farmers market either especially since my kids like it too. You might watch out about the Foodie talk too as many of my friends and neighbors like to talk about their tailgate cooking and using their outdoor kitchens and they readily call themselves foodies now. Even the ones that cook fish and game that they catch or shoot.
As for the wine and wine bars, yeah those guys suck.
