Several years ago I had a court date in Louisiana for speeding. I re-scheduled the court date prior to going overseas for ~ 1 year.

When I returned I realized my license had been suspended. The court clerk had approved a change but something was lost in translation. I went to the DMV and re-instated my license without a problem.

I recently moved to TX and one of the questions for a new license is whether a license from any state has ever been suspended or revoked. I have to answer yes; however, what is the consequence of this?

They look up to see if you lied about it, and then give you your new license

I think that they will have you take an online test. It is similar to when your license expires before you get your new one in TX.

I just traded in my LA id for my new TX one last Monday. They just want proof that you've completed a driver's course before, which your LA driver's license qualifies for. I dont know what exactly happens if it's been suspended. They probably throw you in jail immediately though.
