It's gonna be hilarious when they come after Jackson. Lee isn't a city icon, Jackson Square is. It's a huge tourism site. I can't wait to grab my popkern and watch the show when it happens.

It already has happened. About six months ago, the geniuses who organized Take Em Down NOLA announced that they'd be pulling Old Hickory off of his horse with ropes on whatever date. The cops locked the gates to Jackson Square. It was pretty comical.

And on the pedestal, in numbers about a foot high, is engraved the year of his death, 1845. Do you think any of the protesters interviewed were astute enough to figure out the man had been dead for almost 16 years before the war started? Nope.

They likely don't know the Civil War dates, so I doubt they even bothered to look into it. When I heard one of the interviews, I lost it laughing. "We gone take down Stonewall!"
