re: AP: Parents begged cops to enter school as shooting unfolded. Cops refused

Not true...baw
According to actual police testimony yesterday and additional accounts, the killer waltzed past the armed security guard into the rear of the school, officers arrived on scene and engaged, one or both were shot, they retreated, more cops arrived, 90 minutes went by, reports are there may have been a minor issue entering the school at one point, but the local police spent most of their focus on keeping parents out, and it was the border patrol that ultimately reengaged.
There is real and valid question for why the frick the cops didnt engage and follow widespread SOP since Columbine and go toward the gunman and active shooter and instead took and maintained a defensive/containment position despite knowing the killer was still active, and do so indefinitely til other agencies took action.
The bottom line here is that we don't fully know what happened. There are conflicting reports that the cops were unarmed, that they couldn't get into the school, that the shooter was already done before they arrived, that the border patrol agent had already sent the killer to hell, etc. Let's put down the pitchforks until the investigation and proper info comes out instead of reacting to these anecdotal reports coming from political hacks in different states.

Where is this report?

that the shooter was already done before they arrived,
Multiple eyewitness testimony from the 90 minute mark when border patrol agents went in on the assumption children were likely still trapped inside and alive disputes this fairly unequivocally.

I'm not going to draw any final conclusions and demand blood, but people have more than a right to be suspicious and default to skepticism, There is a history here

When’s the last time y’all have been in a school? The layout can give even one person the advantage over several if he times it right. This isn’t Popeyes where you know where the kitchen and bathroom is beforehand.

Do you have a link to the School Resource Officer being armed? I haven't seen that confirmed yet? Its very possible it was not an armed officer.

"Thank you for your service and protecting us"
A bunch of fricking cowards.
You can take your 'don't tread on me' and thin blue line flag and shove it up your asses. (LMAO who do you think is going to do the 'treading'? You think Klaus Schwab or your Congressman is going door to door to arrest dissidents? No, it will be local police. And they will do it with no qualms. Every gun law or 'mandate' is nothing more than a letter to Santa without men in badges enforcing them.
Conservatives need to wake up.

If this was a firefight in Afghanistan against experienced Taliban, your statement would make some sense.
But this was against an 18 year old with little to no experience with firearms.
Its likely that any adult man that had many days of range time would likely more proficient then the murderer here.

Are you under the impression this kid is retired special forces or something? No matter what you think of the kid's training level, you think it's a bad idea to learn how to protect yourself just because there might be situations you still couldn't handle?

The gunman, identified by authorities as Salvador Ramos, shot his grandmother in the face on Tuesday morning, officials said, before heading for the school less than a mile away and crashing his truck. An armed school security officer confronted him outside the school, but did not stop him. There are conflicting reports of whether they exchanged gunfire.

He then entered the school and encountered a school police officer who confronted him at the front door, officials tell Fox News. The pair exchanged gunfire and Ramos allegedly dropped his bag of ammunition, which authorities predict saved lives. The officer was wounded during the exchange.
There is dispute on whether the officer engaged or not, but seemingly no dispute he was armed.

Multiple reports allege there was no firefight, a few that claim there was.
Either way, the killer easily accessed the school without injury and managed to proceed unharmed.
If he did engage, he clearly was shite at it, which I'm not sure isnt worse considering this is supposed to be the trained officer on site, paid through tax dollars, to subdue this very thing.

Nah man, you've changed for the worse in these threads. You can't defend this shite so you've resorted to deflecting and generalized insults. It's pretty pathetic.
