The irony here is your assumption that I'm posting this as an Alex Jones apologist. I really don't care about Alex Jones. I just posted it because I though it would garner some interest.

I don't think you're an Alex Jones apologist.

I think you're a troll with terrible epistemics.

But when I make an assertion based on logic, even if speculative, all you do is ad hom or attack me or the person. Why not engage with a counter point?

It would have been helpful if "the the the" article linked to the AP story

Because it's pointless to do that with trolls and you're a troll.

What inference do you draw there about the likelihood of the existence of the story saying what Gumboman's article says it does?

Can you shed light on why the thread title that you wrote is a complete fabrication?

Do you work for CNN?

Which one? Hasn’t he had multiple trial lately?

It was the title of the article I posted:

not to mention the news link he posted doesn't link to the supposed AP source, only infowars

and the infowars AP "source" is an entertainment lawyer stating his opinion.

my god, these are the people who cry fake news all the time willingly sharing fabricated news.

He has and the piece doesn't specify but mentions the bigger judgement, so it seems to be the Connecticut one. But that's a good point, and he still has another trial in March.

Now when you put it that way.....

The framing of the title of the thread is laughable, "AP Admits" as if the they are an adverse party to Alex Jones in this case and are guarding information.

From the article
quote:

According to a recent report by the Associated Press

quote:

Attorney Tre Lovell told the AP on Sunday that Jones has “significant issues” he can present on appeal

A quick search of the AP website would show you that the last article mentioning Alex Jones was on 12/2/22.....

Another aspect of troll-prop takes advantage of the fact that most people don't read past the headline, so it's optimized for evoking emotion (and getting likes/clicks/shares/retweets), even when the story doesn't support it.

I’m pretty sure this isn’t the first time for op either.

Gumbopot and OML consistently post misleading or outright fake articles and try to pass them off as real. shite is hilarious.

AP Admits
Why do idiots always try to frame thread titles this way. It’s a huge red flag that the substance of the article didn’t actually say what the thread title does.

ETA: i see this has been addressed already. Carry on

Defamation is an intentional tort. So there's that.

Is it?

For clarification...Who again was "defamed"? And to what damaging degree? By what claim? (was the claim ever proven either way?)

Most of the time your logic is skewed by the limitations on your education, as with everything you wrote about immunology, which was painful to read.

ETA: correcting an error about the judgement - Jones defaulted with respected to the defamation (I had thought the jury confirmed defamation. Thanks, WDE.)

I don’t think it ever got to this point. My memory is that there was never a judgment on the merits of the case because, after repeated warnings and instructions from the court to provide meaningful discovery responses, Jones refused to participate and was defaulted.

Jurors only determined damages.
