LINKDude knows the answer. "Waterproof Waders" is the puzzle. No W's guessed. Lost by $100 and didn't even guess a letter, just belts out the answer.

I like that they can keep the money they make no matter what place they come in on that show.
Jeopardy should let that happen too. 2nd place collecting $2,000 after accumulating $23,000, only to lose to $23,001 sucks.

He would have had to have better situational awareness than most that play on this show, and he likely didn’t want to spin, risking passing the puzzle onto the other lady. Dumb, but understandable

Nah because then if someone is in a distant 2nd or 3rd but still has a little money they would be incentivized to just hang pat and not risk losing anything. The game would be ruined
