I lived in Germany for a little over 7 years and drank a metric frick ton of beer. The only time it is served at cellar temperature is at festivals without adequate refrigeration....even at famed Octoberfest beer is almost as cold inside the beer tents as it is in the US....as business picks up and they are serving more and more temps get higher but it's still refrigerated. If you drink beer at a bar, a restaurant or someone's house it is kept in the fridge and around 35 degrees or so....I drank a couple of beers almost everyday at the end of the work day with my co-workers, all German nationals, and we ALWAYS got it out of the fridge in our office. The beer man delivered it once a week and picked up the empties and he put it in the fridge.
