In relation to my previous post, here's an example. Kamikaze good luck flag

The 1945 scribbled in one corner of the flag (probably not original to flag) corresponds to when Kamikazes were being utilized by the Japanese. It was really a desperation move by them, as it was killing what was left of their pilots as fast as they could train them.

May always be a mystery. Still a cool find from my late WW2 grandpa's belongings.
Was hoping it was a name or something really cool that can really tie that event to the flag. Make it more personal and erie at the same time

Still a great and significant piece of history to me
