If they can slap together trafficking in some way, the trafficking charge alone is mandatory 25 years in GA.
The downside to that charge is that sympathetic juries will dismiss the charges no matter how guilty he is because most people don’t think drug charges should result in a half life of imprisonment.

He has a trafficking charge it’s in the list. But per ga law it’s 5-10 I believe based on the amount. I think he needs 200lbs to get to next level

The trafficking case i was familiar with in GA in 2014, it was less than a kilo of coke they got the guy with. Maybe different rules for coke vs weed.

If it's his first charge He should be able to get it down to 6 with 18 months served on good behavior. 36 months if the lawyer isn't worth a frick.

Having the money counter is the real thing here, if I were prosecuting this case.
So you have three AR 15’s maybe you are just an enthusiast protected by your god given rights as an American.
So you have a whole bunch of weed, who cares about weed, nobody.
Got some amphetamines and some coke? Boy just had it for personal use and sold some on the side to support his own habit. Boy needs rehab, not prison.

Ok ... you ain’t a hobbyist and you ain’t just a user selling on the side for your own habit.

This should get him a long time. I can tolerate his selling but to endanger a child is a whole different game there. IMHO he gets everything he is owed.

Google these numbers and look for the ones that say Georgia. - findlaw.com is a good site. That gives you the statutes for the crimes (even if they are a bit convoluted to read).
For examples, the possession of a firearm statute says that it's 5 years to run consecutively after any other sentence received. But it doesn't go into whether they all will run consecutively.
Take a little bit of time and read them. It'll give you an idea of what the person potentially faces if he goes to trial and is convicted (and an idea for the starting point of where he'll be negotiating a plea deal from).

I’ve read then. But from my limited experience those don’t always hold water when it comes to actual sentencing

I know most don't, but the ones that do scrape off the too... how much do you think the average dirty cop takes away in cash each year. Not counting drugs, weapons or anything else of value. How much in just cash alone. I'm sure it's all situational based. I'd say $5k-10,000.

He might’ve needed it. He did have 63k in cash in the house. Pride might be a problem for him, but the guns and cash and drugs are bigger issues.

He was selling multiple pounds of high quality weed on a daily basis
But yes he tried to act like a big shot and was very flashy and flaunted the money.
I warned people not to get too close over a year before this happened. I was told he supplied dealers and wasn’t some low level guy. But I was the bad guy for making up lies. His excuse for having all the cash was he sold bongs that cost 30-50k
