It’s a Nootropic that is supposed to keep you alert and awake like Adderall but it’s not an amphetamine or addictive. I know it’s been around a while but I’m just curious about any firsthand experience with the drug.

So it definitely does keep you awake then. Is there any sides like feeling jittery?

Yes. It increases focus and ability to stay awake. Used for narcoleptics and, I’ve been told, forces on long missions. Forms of it are considered a smart drug and banned in sports. I will say it def helps with energy and concentration. You can “lock in” on something and focus intently for hours.

Sounds good to me. If it’s non narcotic and not addictive then I see no problem with giving it a try.

I used provigil everyday. 200 mg
I started using it around 2005. Made me excited and elevated my mood for days. Then it stopped giving me an euphoric feeling unless I was off of it for a couple of months. It will help with overnight shifts if taken an hour before the shift begins.
But not all people respond the same way so consult your physician before starting or stopping modafranil (Provigil)

I prefer brand name Nuvigil.
It isn’t addictive but, if you take it daily, you will def feel tired on days up you don’t take it. It’s important to only take in the am and to be sure to get a good night’s rest. It can also zap your appetite so just make sure to eat properly.
Also, “more” isn’t “better”. You shouldn’t feel it in your system other than being very focused and no longer tired. Taking too much can make your heart race and make it more difficult to focus as you take in everything around you.
Most insurance companies won’t pay for it and it’s very expensive. However, Costco has a non-insured plan that makes the drug $50 out of pocket if your insurance won’t pay for it. Only take it on days you need it.
It’s a game changer if you’re too often tired or unable to focus. Just use like any other drug and take only the prescribed amount.

Yes, warning if you’re already in a pissed off mood, don’t take it.

Yes. It is one of two "go pills" that we are authorized to take in the Air Force. It has to be prescribed by the Flight Surgeon based on mission need, so you can't just get it any time you want. It definitely works though.
