Moving in a few weeks from Baton Rouge to just outside of Nashville. Had originally planned on renting a U-Haul and driving up myself, but it looks like the door-to-door U-Pack with military discount is almost the same price as a U-Haul truck. Looks like U-Pack has pretty good reviews online.

Anyone here used them? Good or bad experience? I just have a 1 bedroom apartment so not a whole lot of stuff.

It's alright if you're ok not having your furniture and things for a week or two while it makes the trip to your new location. That was my biggest hiccup with them. It'd also be wise to run some straps over the top of everything because we had an issue with some boxes tumbling around in the Pod

Eta If the prices are within $50 of each other go with the UPack, you'll easily spend over that on gas for the Uhaul truck

well i mean, that's just the nature of packing a truck and it being hauled few hundred miles.

Yes. Was great and much cheaper than PODS or full service movers.

I got my stuff in less than a week after they picked up the truck

Got professional movers to load up my stuff well so it wouldnt shift around.

Had our entertainment center shift away from the wall that caused the boxes on top of it to slide off. It was a lesson learned the hard way

I've used them to move some things cross-country. Great experience. I would suggest hiring movers (by the hour) so they pack it up correctly. You'll just need to buy all the straps, shrink-wrap, etc... I think I paid two moving guys $300 for 3 hours. No issues at all with stuff shifting from my own personal experience this way.
