How did you go about finding one. Just randomly call around? Is there an AOL Chat room I can utilize?

I used a judge
Pretty sure you can get a friend to become a JotP online.

I am ordained. Pick me.
I will do it ifI can go.to the reception afterwards.
I can do most religions, non-denom, or even just a celebratory ceremony.

If in Baton Rouge, there's a guy off Bluebonnet. He has a small chapel at his house.
He charges around $500 for everything.

Just pay for a friend to get ordained and recognized by the city. It's free to get ordained and it's 25$ you pay to the clerk of court to become a licensed minister. It's cheaper and easier than finding a justice.

frick Terd, I've done three weddings and I'm recognized in two states. If you're gonna get a dipshit off the internet, it should be me.

I was best man and a groomsmen at two weddings where a JOP officiated. I think he was an off-duty Ascension Parish Sheriff.
Fun story about the best man wedding:
Groom and I were best friends. Known each other since playing T-ball together as 5-year-olds. We're up at the front of the venue, both of us kinda nervous. I'd never best-manned before and it was his first marriage as well.
I had poured some Patron in a flask earlier in the afternoon before we left for the ceremony. The JOP walks in as we are nipping on it, says y'all the groom and best man? We nodded and he said, "Gimme some of that sh!t," and knocked back teh flask for several seconds.
Walked in and asked the groom if he wanted the quick version or the auctioneer version. Never been in a quicker ceremony. Sh!t was awesome.

We used this guy. He was great and answered every question we had leading up to the event. Very easy to work with. Highly recommended!
