I'm so sorry for your loss. Cancer sucks. I truly hope someone reads your post and it encourages them to seek early treatment for themselves or their loved ones.

Yes go to a doctor. I'm sure she just doesn't want to because she is scared. My mom is currently undergoing chemo (almost done!) for stage 3 breast cancer. If you catch it early that's really good.

Doctor asap. If one doctor dismisses it, you still may want to get a second opinion. A second opinion saved my mom's life.

I second Cosmo; she needs a mammogram asap.

As thedude said, she's scared.

Give her the sweet sensitive husband first and encourage her to get proactive.

In the meantime call and make an appt for her (family medicine, internal medicine, and obgyn docs routinely perform breast exams and order mammograms).

If johnny nice guy doesn't work, get aggressive and drag her to that appt.

Not one good reason not to go to a doctor. Doesn't necessarily have to be over the weekend but should go by early next week.

Also, most good medical insurance plans have wellness/preventative included where breast exams are covered at 100% every year once a year. What carrier does she have medical insurance through?

I want to stress this as well. My mom's mammogram and other testing showed up normal. She was insistent something was wrong though as she had a continual tingling in her fingers. After many doctors it was found out she had stage three breast cancer in her lymphnodes, but nothing in her breasts. That doesn't fit exactly with this story, I just wanted to agree that test until you get the answers you want, even if it takes multiple doctors.

Also as someone said. Look into a cancer policy. I don't know all the details, but it sounds like you get paid during treatments for work lost.

My wife had one of those. Was a cyst. Still scary and still had to be removed.

No brainier go immediately . I found one of the three tumors my wife ended up having . Not to get ahead and negative but find a breast surgeon you respect and trust. You may have many tough decisions ahead of you and that person will need to guide you. Even if no family history think very hard about dbl mas if surgery is required. Good luck prayers sent
