It’s actually the opposite, fogs don’t have the higher level of intelligence that enables human beings to development irrational fears. Swimming may be simple, but for some people overcoming the fear of being in water is nearly impossible.

Please note that thrashing and somehow moving through the water without ever putting your face in the water is not swimming.
There are many that perform that technique and claim that they can swim. That is only delaying sinking.

and to me having an irrational fear of swimming as an adult is a clear sign of how little intelligence you actually have.
